Because each garment features different fabrics, textures, and stretch levels, we carefully select the most suitable printing method for every product — ensuring the best balance of feel, appearance, and durability.
Tokyo Tiger uses four main decoration techniques in our apparel:
DTG (Direct-to-Garment Printing)
DTG printing applies ink directly into the fabric fibers, creating a soft, breathable print with a natural feel and detailed color expression.
DTF (Direct-to-Film Printing)
DTF printing transfers the design onto the fabric using heat and a special adhesive film, resulting in vibrant colors, excellent durability, and strong design clarity.
Dye Sublimation Printing
Dye sublimation uses heat to fuse the ink directly into the fibers of the fabric.
Instead of sitting on top, the design becomes part of the garment itself, creating a smooth feel and long-lasting color.
Embroidery
The design is stitched directly into the fabric using strong, high-quality threads, creating a textured and long-lasting finish.
Sustainability & Materials

How to Wash & Care
Correct washing and maintenance are essential for keeping printed garments looking sharp, holding their color, and staying durable over time.
Since different printing techniques react differently to heat, water, and friction, each garment may require slightly different care.
To make things easy, we’ve summarized the recommended washing instructions for each printing method used by Tokyo Tiger.
No matter which printing technique is used, improper washing or care may reduce the lifespan of the print.
To ensure the best results, please read and follow the care instructions before washing your garment.
With proper care, your printed apparel can remain vibrant, comfortable, and durable through many wears.
If the care instructions have been followed correctly but you still experience print peeling, cracking, or damage within 30 days, please contact our customer support team.
